McHale HS2000 Load Sensing Hydraulics

Hi guys,

I have a used McHale HS2000 on the way and I was told by someone that I will need to set my tractor up with "Load Sensing Hydraulics" to operate it correctly. My Tractors currently do not have "LSH". Is it a big job to get it fitted to them? or is there any other ways around it.

Thanks.

Don’t need to if you don’t want too.we don’t use load sensing on our two ha 2000.look in instruction book.will tell you how to set the valve block up to operate from the spool.plenty will say it’s no good but I’ve done 75000 with first hs and another 40000 with this newer one all through the spool and free flow return.

You don’t need this…..it just works better with LSH or power beyond oil supply. There is an adjustment on the spool block for whatever you have

Firstly has the 8360 got CCLS hydraulics? Most will have but if it's a classic it'll have an open centre hydraulic system.

It's almost 20 years since I helped plumb 60s up to run Fusions so I hope I've got this right...
You'll need a shuttle valve, it was factory fit on TMs so CNH will be able to supply one that won't need pipes modified. If you look behind the right hand rear wheel, in the area between the 2 horizontal hydraulic filters you'll see a valve with a small steel hydraulic pipe on it with a 90° bend. Think it's called the compensator valve. That 90° bend needs to be replaced with a shuttle valve and a hydraulic pipe run from there to the rear of the tractor, that's your sensing line.
For the return we used the bung above the top link at the bottom of the gearbox oil filler pipe.
Can't remember where we took a flow from. Is there a connection on the pipe supplying the spools? Maybe I'm thinking of the 40s and TS? Maybe a 90° bend on top of the spools that can be replaced with a Tee?
A loader will use the same connections if you know of a 60 with one fitted.
