A bit peaved today just noticed my new seed purchased off local shrewsbury merchant wheat and barley seed is last years,
Would it not have been polite to say to customers that seed is yeared.
If i had known i would certainly not have purchased.

When I picked up a bit of aftercut fertiliser in June, I noticed the shed was full of last years seed.

the best new seed we have bought over 2 years has been wynstays ironically through other merchants , cant find a contact was told alice ex dalmark was with them but cant find her!

Would pish me off, if you are being sold over-yeared seed they should inform you of the fact at the outset. Of course, now you've taken delivery I bet they wouldn't take it back.

Won’t make a sh!t of difference, unless it’s been latitude dressed. Although I’d bid them on it if not informed.bought 2018 barley seed this spring was perfect. There’ll be 1000s of tonnes stored far worse on farm

Its not only possible lack of germination but also the possible lack of vigour.
Vigour is much pushed by seeds men with vibrance duo seed treatment as an example of up marketing.
