Metacam Price

I had the Invoice for 2 x 50ml bottles of Metacam and almost fell off the chair at the price when I looked at it this afternoon! I didn't want 100ml as we do not use enough of it outside lambing/calving time really.

Called the Vet and expressed my shock.... What are others being charged?

Was told about it here last year!

The suggestion today that I should get a jab put up when I needed them did not go down well... Vet is 16 miles away, and you could pretty well guarantee that it will be on a weekend that it is wanted too!

Same as loxicom etc, don't think we've had metacam for a few years but think they're the same, give 2ml to ewes, which is plenty

1ml per 20kg for sheep.

There are lots of generics available nowadays for it.

We are on Recocam now. It’s less for a 100ml bottle than a 50ml bottle of Metacam! Can’t remember the exact number but we use a lot more of it now it’s not so damn dear!
