Anyone converted their sumo to metcalf low disturbance legs? I’m trying to make a low disturbance Subsoiler but able to have discs to level the top if needed. Also want to drill osr and forage crops with it without bringing up big lumps the size of footballs. Any views to if it will work? Mounted 3m machine!

Our 2.5m trio had been converted when we bought it, in fact, that's why we bought it. Plowmans will sort you and also sell them with Ferobide already applied, which saves the hassle of having @Captain Slack out! [emoji857]

I take it your going to now weld on them Ferobide parts onto that worn leg? or am i missing something here?
Just debating as i have to build up some legs on my Tim Howard Subby & still have some Ferobide strips i got a couple of years ago & might put some on thats all.
That stuff does help but ive found the problem is no matter how you weld it on two things happen.
The Weld wears away regardless & if you make too good a job you have then over heated the Ferobide then shortening its life so it kinda seemed all pointless.
Correct me as thats my experience of using it.
I wont deny mind it lasts n lasts but everything around it inc its welding material just vanishes.

Are they that much lower distance than a sumo post 07 point with narrow wings
Yes they are very low disturbance compared with a trio. Weve just bought a ploughman omnitil with the ng legs on. We demoed one with 250mm wings and even that was incredible compared to a a trio, which a contractor has done for us for years. 150mm wings is the low disturbance option (150, 200, 250 standard and 300 available). The whole wing, shin and point geometry is what makes these leg far superior in my opinion for power requirement, disturbance and lift
