Hi jh av got that screen when set at 30 in pedal mode its terrible to drive it will only rev to 1700 with it at 30 when at 0 it will rev to max but won't use available engine torque

Ok only thing is David we have alot of hills around us on the the road so when you pull away you only get 1700 revs then when its flat out seems to not sit steady wonts to over rev sorry its a hard thing to explain 😐

DTM was kinda flung on these ones as a sales gimmick that doesn't really work imo . Newer ones are much better and can have min and max revs set .

On the road mine is set about 15 iirc. I drive in stick and let dtm work away but will floor foot pedal at times just to get the revs up a bit at junctions etc .

For ploughing type jobs I don't use dtm but fixed revs as it lugs down better , rather than engine opening up in tough bits . Road work is about the only time I will use dtm thinking about it. A friend preferred to use the sv1 and 2 engine presents while my dad likes pedal mode for haulage . That is one of the best things about Massey , there are a lot of different ways to drive them so just play about and find one that suits you.

Av only had it 3 months and never had a vt and nobody showed us how to set it up so its totally new jh so am a bit nieve lol see in pedal mode dtm switched off if a put bar to 30 she only reves to 1700 then its very unsettled like it keeps trying to drop a gear and over revs jh is yours like that

it will feel a bit dead on the road but thats the way they are
try driving it on the stick
i use cruise control on the road and foot throttle for revs

i cant get on with pedal mode at all over about 6mph, way too sensitive even when set to low sensitivity

do you have the data 3 screen?

My 7485 has never been the smoothest, kinda hunts about at times . The dealer brought up a menu on dash and it was cutting power to the transmission at times in road work .

A 7480 I used to work along side was much smoother in comparison and we could never get it to cut power according to the dash . I can't actually remember how to bring this diagnostic screen up now as was years ago.

There was also a non dtm 7480 Perkins as well . It always felt gutless until one day we all where hauling and it turned out it was actually doing 63kph according to gps on the flat although the dash was reading just over 50.

All 3 of them could be set the same and feel different

It could just be the gearbox protecting itself . I was told of a 7490 that got chipped years ago , 30hp more at pto but exactly same speed up a local hill with a loaded dump trailer , chip on or off.

Perhaps someone will know how to bring menu up . It was the matrix screen , sure it was hold up button for 5 secs then scroll and highlight one of diagnostic options . If it holds 100 it's full power to trans but if it drops it's tripping power and protecting itself .
