Just had a quick browse on big tyres. 650/65r42 £2080, 650/75r38 £2800, both trelle. Offset a little by rim, but steel cheaper than rubber. That extra air capacity means the 75s can be run at lower pressure for same load, as well as looking the part.Would they be dearer than day a 650/65r42?
Pass. The men who generously bore the brunt of the depreciation on my stallions spec'd 650/65r38s, so I can only dream.Are they a bit of a pig on the road with a heavy load?
