Suspect it's fuel filters.
Have had issues with diesel bug this year, got new filters on the way, but these have done about an hour or two only during service.
Wish I'd left the old ones on now until I'd run it a bit.

It could be that.

Could you check that it’s putting up correct oil pressure and oiling correctly?

Do you have the engine book under the seat maybe? If you don’t, have one in our combine and can relay in morning.
From memory there are long pulses of about 5 seconds, medium pulses of 2 seconds then short pulses.
These pulses are counted up to then give 3 digit Fault code which is referenced in engine book to give fault.

I dont think there is a book.
But I will.check.
As far as I know I've only the operators manual and the parts book.

Be much appreciated if there's a list of codes you could take a picture of.

Here is the pages of the Sisu manual. Our engine is a Fortius 74 ETA, think you may have the older 645 engine.

Well I've managed to get two codes, none to match the above though.
263
391

Depot I bought it from don't think it's possible to get codes without a laptop.
Going to try again

Okey doke.
263 low fuel pressure inlet pump side.
391 fuel pressure relief valve identified as open.

Thank you Lister wilder.
They reckon it's possible muck in valve.
Think I'll try the filters when they get here before pulling anything to bits.

Just found the pages in the operators manual, however the listed codes aren't complete, the two I have aren't listed.

Diagnostic codes,
not error codes, warning codes, etc that I looked under in the index.

Filters changed, again.
No better.
Ran it out a can bypassing the fuel line and tank, no different.
Pressure relief valve out, cleaned, refitted, no different.
All plugs around it checked, sprayed with contact cleaner, no different.

Can't seem to cancel the codes out, followed the instructions, won't go away.
Thought maybe if they cancelled, then at least it might run briefly until the sensor reported low pressure again.

Can see it will be a laptop job, be making some more calls in the morning.

Pita.

Hi Badshot, did you ever get to the bottom of this problem? Have a 7270 here with the exact same fault and codes.
Thanks Mark

From memory it was the fuel pump causing cavitation.
They're quite expensive to change, I could only get it from the dealer.
Had to get the complete filter head and pump I believe.
If you leave it, it can do quite a lot of very expensive damage apparently.

The combine went several years ago now.
NH have a lot less issues, even with big hours.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
