You haven't put your location, but Goat Nutrition (GN) often advertise smaller bulk milk tanks, or try Mill Dairy Service from Norwich, they are importers of new Milkplan bulk tanks, in a range of sizes. Maybe less expensive than you might think, and you're buying new, not fifty years old!

It would certainly be worth pricing one. I found a small tank just up the road, I think it's a 200 gallon size, and didn't pay much for it. However, £1000 to have it gassed and commissioned, then about £1500 a year later when the compressor packed up. I'm sure it's still cheaper than a new one but I was lucky with the tank, small one seems to have a premium.
