Milking units and liners

What liners/ cups are people using? Wanting to update my parlour, currently running the old stainless westfalia units quite weighty,keep Hearing good things about these square/triangle liners? We do suffer with slippage and they don’t like short teats which the modern dairy cow usually has.

We just use basic ones but you could look at the cluster exchange if you think it might help, I think there are different levels, and costs obviously, you can go in at depending on the quality of cluster/liner.

Basic what? Won’t be going down the exchange route would end up being too costly and we probably don’t do the milkings to benefit from such a thing

No fair enough. I think our cups are fullwood and just use milkrite GM91U liners, changed once a year.

Just buy some lightweight shells of dairy spares ,stick in some liners connect to your old units and away you go

have to categorically disagree with you. Have always had more success with clover/triangle liners, difference in milk speed, less slippage and teat keratinization, definetly help on robots.
Although i'm really liking the look of the lightweight evanza liners with the twist off liners for the parlour.

Had triangle liners in a waikato 24/48 and they lasted 3 weeks before I wrapped them out and went back to the normal round ones ,had the worst milk out and teat slip ever
On cluster exchange here ,triangle liners with the vent at the top and unit is no better or worse than the unit was here before with the round liners and hole in the claw apart from they are sooooo much lighter

Been in over 12 months, only one split on the knuckle, got new set here but with scc under 120 and no other issues they can keep earning their keep a bit longer
