Milwaukee impact wrench problem

Hi, I know Milwaukee gear has quite a following on here so hoping someone can help.

Using our large impact driver yesterday to do some nuts up and it now seems to be stuck, in that when you pull the trigger in either forward or reverse the shaft doesn't turn it just does the impact clunking like when a nut is getting tight.

Any ideas? Bit disappointed as we haven't really done a lot of hard work with it.

No expert but sounds like the bearing on the output has failed/seized?

Select the model of wrench you have you should be able to get a parts drawing for it and order the parts to fix it or you can just send it to them although if out of warranty might cost as much to fix it as buy a new one with warranty.

I’ve a half inch one that works sometimes but mostly just flashes the indicator light I’ve cleaned contacts which gets it going sometimes but they look pretty worn I’d this likely to be the problem? It’s well out of warranty and has done a fair bit of work to be fair

Mine stopped working loosening but would still tighten. It would flash the light but not go
Stripped it and sprayed wd40, then contact cleaner in to the change over switch and its going fine again. Worth a look maybe.
New switch and cabley bits attached were going to be £80 off Ebay USA, never bothered that Sinclair guys as I think I'd sooner have bought a new bare tool.

Yea I’d might aswell buy another if it’s not a easy fix so I’ll take it bits for a look, got a drill with a burnt motor so can maybe make something work

bought a replacement Angle grinder 2 months ago, went to register it,
But you don’t have too,
Not an opinion but fact

Okay, its been about 4 months i think since i bought something so its a very recent thing if thats right. (y)

It would be good if so as people did struggle with it for some reason but i never found it a great hardship IMO
