Pricing up a Milwaukee grease gun right now,you don't really get the whole kit(gun, battery and charger)you have to buy individually!
Search for milwaukee m18gg-502c.

This is the grease gun kit which includes two 5Ah batteries and charger. There's a few sellers in eBay too. Expect to pay about £350.

I think it's cheaper if you're after a hammer drill to buy the batteries with that, it'll cost less than the extra £200 for them with the grease gun.

I priced up getting a bare tool from America (no battery or charger). They are cheaper with the exchange rate, but once you've paid the shipping and the UK import duty, there's little to no saving possible.

Also America is 110V and I think 60hz instead of UK 240V and 50hz, so if you do import from the USA, the charger will be useless.

UK sellers quite often have special offers, particularly on the Internet.. It's worth watching out, I saved £30 off the grease gun price compared to on the Milwaukee direct Web.

I already had a 18v drill with batteries and charger.
I bought a bare tool M18 1/2" FUEL impact wrench off of Ebay from Florida USA for £182 delivered all charges shown and paid up front, about 18months ago.
At the time the Fuel brushless version wasn't out here and that was one of the main reasons I did it, that and about £100 saving
My own batteries fit no problem although the batteries in USA have different part nos.
Think you'd have to buy a uk charger.

Tried to register it here for warranty and the website threw a strop with me saying I was in wrong region etc, think the model number was slightly different. Didn't pursue it further as I knew that might be an issue but it was a chance I wasn't too worried about.

Fantastic tool and it has been no bother so far, despite getting some heavy work. Front linkage and both loader brackets off my old NH the other day and still had enough in the battery to strip the engine down, including all the mains, big ends, and head bolts!!!

Did it come from America or is it from here? Only reason I ask is I'm tempted to import either an alemite or Milwaukee. Anyone else imported a battery tool? If so do you have to get a separate charger from the uk or just change the plug?
Also America is 110V and I think 60hz instead of UK 240V and 50hz, so if you do import from the USA, the charger will be useless.
Are you boys sure about that? Maybe once many moons ago, but power supplies have been fully switch mode on these things for 15 years plus. I've bought loads of gear from the states and never had a problem. Flip the charger over and have a look at the nameplate.

The chargers are invariably all made in China anyway (as are most Milwaukee tools themselves) and will be universal voltage (100V - 250V) and 50/60 Hz multi frequency.

Unless the 2 prong plug is moulded onto the device, just chop the end off and put a UK plug on.

I can't see that listed anywhere tho? Are you still using your almight? Was it

Alemite:ROFLMAO: yes still got the old 14.4 must be getting near to 10 year old now:scratchhead: original batteries are useless now but its made by Ryobi under licence so I just bought a new cheap Ryobi replacement battery off ebay and been using it with that for past couple of years.
It really is due a replacement but to be honest it still works okay just the cheap battery I bought does not have the power in it like the originals did but still pushes the grease in fine until you get one that's a bit blocked were as before it would normally push the blockage out or blow the seal on the coupler or the pipe!

I will be replacing it one day with this https://allube.co.uk/596-series-cordless-grease-gun-20-volt-lithium-ion/

You can also get this gun in the Lincon brand but I think its more expensive and less popular?

I just don't like the style of the Milwaukee one with the cartridge through the body of the gun. I like the more traditional shape of the Alemite. Shame cause it would be very easy for me with the Milwaukee as I got lots of batteries and chargers so would be more practical for me to have it and cheaper! probably buy 2 x Milwaukee bare units for the cost of the Alemite?

i would be more keen on the Alemite if i could find out who is actually making that gun for them? which give you options for battery replacement later down the line like i have done with my current 14volt one. TBH buying another 14.4volt one the same as i have now would be sensible thing to do as i already know its a good gun and lasts well:rolleyes:

I have bought the 20v Alemite - about 2 months ago - and I am pleased with it. It is a better spec then the Milwaukee one and like ACEngineering I have had the 14.4v one forever.

Kinda breaks away from my plan to have compatible tools to be able to share batteries - but rules are made to be broken...........

The single speed was all that was available in the UK/EU Eden I bought mine.

Have Milwaukee started selling the 2 speed here now?
Not that I can find? But I do see what looks like the same gun listed as a 620bar and a 562 bar max pressure which doesn't make a lot of sense, see a few posts up for the links to then

The alemite is 10000psi i think single speed Milwaukee is and 2 speed is 10000? Must be someone selling it or able to get it? Give a few of the suppliers a call and ask for it.

We use the lube shuttle cartridges and don't want to change away from them, there is a 14.4v grease gun which uses lube shuttle but its only 400bar, is that enough?
£214.50 for the gun with 1 battery.
https://jdparts.deere.com/partsmkt/..._fb_lubrication_equipment_cordless_grease.htm

Type it in google to convert it to psi i think it will be 6000-8000psi? 10000psi is around 600bar which is what the alemite is i wouldnt want any thing less been using my old one today and its hard pumping grease at zero degrees! Had 3 nipples that wouldnt grease were they normally do dam thing locks on solid when it does that so you have to undo the relief valve i think the new alemite has an internal valve so it does not lock on if you get a blockage.

Imo for a little more i think Allube will see you the new 20volt alemite with one battery and they are lithium with a charge indicator and a amount dispensed and amount left in cartridge. Dont know if they do a barrel to make it lube shuttle but then i dont really have a issue with standard cartridges i just get on with it!

Oh come on we are all in the uk! [emoji23] I'm going to leave it i think i don't want a under pressured gun and get on very well with lube shuttle so I'll stick to that for now.
Thanks though.

bit of an oldie but ive read through it and maybe someone might shed some light on the subject for me.
im half thinking of buying a cordless gun, i was looking at a de-walt but then i seen the Milwaukee one and it looks and reads a bit better to me.
but i see some of ye talking about the alemite gun so i had a look and got to wondering which is the best gun.
the milwaukee has a lot of bells and whistles on it but the alemite looks a lighter unit with an open cartridge style, i see their only chargers in 220v are 50hz tho, no mention of 60hz.

im just lookin for a handy way of greasing, aka im getin lazy.
whats yer opinions, on the gun that is?.
