Does it need a big power supply ?View attachment 948741
Had this for just over 2 years and makes the job alot easier. We also feed in pens of 5 with teat feeders and the shuttle pumps in the desired quantity.
On a new supply you would need a 32amp single phase plug. (big blue one) not sure what the 3 phase one requires. If you were putting hot water in and not using the built in heater you would get away with a 16amp plug.Does it need a big power supply ?
I have a wydale trolley and heatwave so could be different to how your feeding?Any tips on how you mix and feed calf milk replacer consistently?
We mix in a Wyedale mixer, 4 scoops per bucket, feed to batches of five on 5-teat milk bars. Dusty job.
Looking for any ideas on how to speed the job up.
TIA

Bit the same here. Got my name down on a H&L taxi, what made you go for the shuttle?Probally not as often as we should is the answer! but put a bit of water in after the milk and let the calves drink it.
Aye was it cost or features, never looked at the volac basically because I was moving off the auto feeder. What a difference being back to pens of two and 5 health wise.Volac Urban
You mean pens seem to have better health than automatic calf feeder?Aye was it cost or features, never looked at the volac basically because I was moving off the auto feeder. What a difference being back to pens of two and 5 health wise.

DISEASE RISKWhy not feed fresh milk?
Can't see how someone can buy milk from a farmer, shift it, process it, bag it and sell it back to the farmer but still make a profit. It must be an inferior product
DISEASE RISK
Horses for courses. We’ve always fed pooled whole milk, no disease issues here
