We have a trailed kuhn.....very good machine.....tried a teagle mounted a few years ago..found it heavy....if you're dropping it off and on quite a bit.....go trailed

I set out to buy a mounted Lucas machine. After a demo I ended up with a trailed McHale. I’m SO glad I chose a trailer machine in the end, in my view there is simply no contest I’d have a trailer every time.

We have a mounted teagle. It suits us as we have to reverse into some of our sheds over the muck. We have it on an old 3125 with a set of weights, it does blow well on 1000 shaft... A trailed machine would have higher sides so we would have less straw bubbling over.

Bought a mounted teagle a few years ago have it on the back of a T6080 with a loader and auger bucket on the front. Has to be on a larger tractor as they are very heavy when full. Equally as quick and easy to drop on and off I dont no why people think linkage kit is challenging. A lot more manouverable. Smaller loading area than a trailed so have to watch bale size and how much is left in it before loading. Trailed can come with two rotors for more through put and shorter chop length. Our shed has a central feed passage and due to the layout I cant turn round at one end so have to back down half the time so mounted is essential, helpful when filling up the auger bucket two. Also no punctures on a mounted!

Kuhn primor trailed here. Wouldn't even consider a mounted. It's even easy to reverse down dead end passageways so in my mind why would you even want a mounted?!

I have a mounted teagle 5050? I would like to go trailed purely to be able to get it onto the little tractor instead of shitting up the big one, also like the possibility of feeding baled silage through it. Would 60hp be ok on a tailed machine? not in a rush so can go steady.

I put silage through a 4040 no problem.

I have done the same in the past, but cant unless its on the big tractor with weights too. our yard has steep and rough bit and it worries me when the front wheels start lifting. just thought a trailed one with a swivel spout would help filling some of the mangers up and I could get under the low sheds with the little tractor, cheers

Teagle used to advertise a wheel kit for the 4040/5050, a bit like caster wheels for smaller tractors
