Now then fellow multidrivers, does anybody run any intermediate wheels ?
It's a burning disire of mine to find some as I run 710 floats and then I have to go to 300 rowcrops, it's just too big a jump . I was thinking of getting some 16.9 34 to help . They would be ok for early spud pre em and a bit of late blight come osr pre em when I don't want to keep swapping wheels .
What does everyone else think or do ??
540 x 24 s
13.6 x 36s
11.2x48s
I would prefer 13.6x 48 but I would have to buy new rims, and would rather put money to new sprayer .
16.9s would be handy for spraying daffodils in winter and first spray in spuds in the spring.

Oh yes.

That includes a total rebuild of it when it crumbled like plaster on the road. Twice in one day is the new impressive benchmark. Wrong seal sent, chap fitted it (not blaming him at all), two hours later, pool of oil. Back he comes.

I really do like it when its going, but please spare me from the constant worry!!

Do you think thats due to the takeover Pete? New dealers bringing wrong parts?
Rung up for a part recently (had to go to local JD dealer as local stockist) they gave us a choice of 10 different ones. We didn't know which was right so gave them chassis number. That number meant nothing to them. Bloody shambles

Teething troubles that’s all

I hope so.

To be fair, the fitter came back same day and put it right straight away once he got the parts found. It was a friday afternoon, past 8pm once he had it done and he didn't complain once. Great chap.

Christian Davies says hes committed to the Multidrive and I don't doubt it, but he's admitted they have to sort the Agribuggy first so it will be next spring before much is done.

I really hope they get it sorted because, even after its shortcomings, its a great bit of kit once going well.

The parts thing is daft though and if they think I'm being ripped off they will have to think again. £330 for a fan belt? No.

Constant hub seals leaking (on the same axle) would normally point to excessive bearing wear or the axle vent is blocked and pressure is building up in the casing. Or a vent was never fitted ........
Only a thought .............
