Multimin vitamin injection

Hi I'm thinking of getting a bottle of multimin for injecting calves when they are born as a precaution.

The only thing is it's a around £100 a bottle of close to it. I've no issues with the price but it's 100ml bottle and it would take me a bit of time going through it.

Does anyone know of either any other injections that are similar but come in smaller bottles? Or how long multimin lasts once it's broached? If I start using it and after X amount of days it's effectiveness has dropped I'd need to evaluate if it's worth it.

Used to use Vitasel but since we cant get it anymore i use Introvit-E-Selen @ 2ml per 10kg
Supplied by my vet. Here is a link to an online supplier. Not as potent a Vitasel.

I was sort of aiming for multimin as its more of a cocktail of a few things not just the vitamin e.

I used jag the cows with vitesel or similar a month or so before calving. Started bolusing them instead

Yeah we usually Bolus the cows but thinking about giving the calves a bit of a precautionary jag before they are big enough to bolus

I use multimin for the zinc mainly.

They use to make a 250ml here in oz but its only 500ml now getting expensive as well.

I use it when feed changes..i.e winter to spring, spring to summer if supplement feeding.

I will start to look for alternatives.

How many calves?

I’d have about 35 over the space of 5 months. Plan on shortening calving period each year. I’d happily buy a bottle if I was going to be useful still in 5 months after the first broach of the bottle
