Seemed like one of the good guys & was either very brave or slightly naive in going back to Russia after what had happened to him.
Seems somewhat strange Putin would have him killed on the very day of the Munich conference at a time when support for the war against Russia is flagging, not sure it helps Putin’s position very much especially as the guy was looking so reasonably well & cheerful the day before.
On the other hand it was a gift for those struggling to get support for more arms to Ukraine & Putin removed, wheels within wheels comes to mind in a country such as Russia.

Putin wanted him dead and killed him at a moment that "seems somewhat strange" to muddy the waters?
It's no big deal except for the guy in question and no one will care tomorrow.

We can't begin to comprehend what it's like to live in Russia.

The Russian s seem from the outside to have it instilled in them that the authorities are to be feared don't question anything , if you don't toe the line your beaten, imprisoned or murdered. And this to them is normal.
It's people are controlled by a group of brutal thugs that will do ANYTHING to retain power whilst raping the country of its wealth.
The populace seem powerless to do anything. But people power can and has prevailed in the past , and must do so again .
But it will/would take enormous courage to do so.
The West can bleat on about how terrible the killings are ,but that is just lip service.
When Russia sends thugs to kill in a foreign country there has to be SERIOUS consequences not just verbal condemnation.
The biggest issue here is putin s threats of nuclear is actually working for him ,everyone is running scared of it.
Meanwhile the murderous thugs continues to do as he will.
A bully will never stop whilst they are not confronted and stopped.
The West could and should do far more to help Ukraine to a decisive victory.
I'm sure that the collective west could find a way if it REALLY wanted to.
Why they don't is beyond my small brain to comprehend.
