Looking at the state of the russian army especially at the beginning of the war and how badly maintained it was I expect many missiles would not make it out of the silos
The US spends over 10 billion a year just on maintenance of its nuclear arsenal. Russia probably just bulk buys WD40. But I suppose they only need one or two to work!

Seems to me you are very happy to play Russian roulette with other peoples lives, may be you would be more use on the front line, Russia has the biggest stockpile of nukes in the world, there's a hell of difference in fighting a country with no back up to trying to destroy Russia, if Putin goes there could be a carve up of nukes between the very many different factions in Russia.
So what do you call the sickening slaughter of 1000s of innocents in gaza , the demolishing of a people.
What do you call the invasion of a country by its corrupt bullying neighbours.
Just give in he's got nukes let the bully do as he wishes . It's a lousy attitude.
The West should be ashamed of its apathy.
Putin is playing the West like an old fiddle and winning whilst they all dance to his tune.
The world is in a precarious state, with no strong leadership anywhere.
Trump/ Biden both laughable
Sunak no better.
Pakistan fighting over who rules.
It's everywhere.
We WILL destroy ourselves . Its utter madness.

Only because he’s a bloody hypocrite, once Russia were allowed to invade then a partitioning of Ukraine was the least awful outcome, America were well aware of this but Ukraine is expendable.
So if the Russians had done an amphibious landing and occupied Devon and Cornwall, you would be quite happy with it being partitioned off?

As I mentioned earlier on this thread if they had not deposed Yulia Tymoshenko non of this would have happened.
But was she not moving towards a pro EU direction for the Ukraine. And that would have led to an inevitable clash with Russian objectives for Ukraine. I am only a casual observer, so not all as understanding of Ukraine/ Russia as yourself.

Navalny knew in all likelyhood if he returned to Russia he would be killed by Putin, reasons he would accept this fate include, he knew that if he wasn't in Russia he would become irrelevant politically, he knew that he was loosing the crowd, the most effective way of achieving some change is martyrdom

I think its equally as likely he has died from the long term affects of his previous poisoning combined with the harsh environment of artic prison as murdered, but I would say, if Putin did order his murder its to demonstate he doesn't care what anyone thinks and doesn't care about any repercussions, he wants to show he is in total control. I think Navany's star was falling and Putin knew there wouldn't be major domestic unrest from his murder/death

You have to admire the hypocrisy of America, you have Iraqis locked up by America & tortured for 20 years or more with no trials, then you have that moron Biden shouting Poooton is to blame, maybe he is but for an American president with the history it has shouting his mouth off is not going to improve the situation.
Biden will go down in history as the worst president America ever had.
Putin is a bad'en but looking at all the charges being thrown at Trump by Democrat prosecutors would Biden do different if he could get away with it.

Appears to be a pretty good turnout.
Thankfully no trouble on the day it seems.
RIP.

One does wonder if the security police, those big brave men in balaclavas and camo gear, can really think that they're the good guys. Spose its the same the world over, sigh.
