Well three and a bit years and three crushes later finally got round to putting a bit of a shedding gate up to either turn them into the holding pen or back to the main shed.

To be honest when we made it we didn’t use any drawings or anything but I’ll put something together tomorrow

The main dimensions I would be interested in is the width of the pen on the right, from the upright post in the roof to the concrete panel.
What is the outside width of the crush and what is the distance from the crush to the gates on both sides.

I like the way you have the crush in the centre with access to both sides. I want to do the same but will do it without the pen next the open side.

That's perfect, thank you.
Do you have enough room either side of the crush to work, would you be able to work on the side 1m wide or is it to narrow

There is enough room to work but only time we really go that side is to clip, it would be better with moor room especially with this crush with full doors, out of choice we’d have built the shed bigger but this was as wide as we could go in the space available.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
