Sent pic to repair man he now says can't repair holes are too big! Does anybody know of a tank repair/plastic welder in Shropshire please?
We had a fuel tank melt on a nh cr combine during 1 harvest. Couldn't get a new one very quickly so got it plastic welded to keep us going. It was a waste of time as it seeped diesel and the fuel problems we had was terrible from all the little bits in the tank dispite thoroughly cleaning it.
Yes very lucky indeed! Parts of molten tank actually dripped inside! I didn't even notice until I filled with fuel in morning and it started leaking everywhere!Jebus, lucky you didn't lose the lot in a fire! I know of a few NHs that went up from that.

From experience i wouldn't bother, a new one will work out cheaper in the long run and yours does look alot worse than the one we tried to fix
Won't be repairing that !

Found a man called "Geoff" seems to think he can weld it no problem, he reckons the PE type of plastic welds really well. If it doesn't it will be insurance job as they are around £500 second hand!Insurance claim?
The exhaust has gone on this one same place! And another one

Why would you not claim off the insurance and just have the job right?Found a man called "Geoff" seems to think he can weld it no problem, he reckons the PE type of plastic welds really well. If it doesn't it will be insurance job as they are around £500 second hand!
