Best phone I've had is the one I have now. Duel SIM, waterproof/dustproof, battery lasts about 4days, cost about £150 + vat. It's a CAT s42 phone, On pay as you go Sims. Which cost less than £30 year to run each.
Broke 2 Samsung phones last year, never again, total junk. Thank goodness for house insurance.
What do you do to them?
Had Samsungs for 10-12 years now and main thing that makes me upgrade is battery losing life.
Did have 1 that stopped working for calls, but it would have been 2-3 years old.

My iPhone 8 is over four years old now and apart from the vibrator not working, is as good as new. The battery still has 83% of it's new capacity left, which is a reduction I really haven't noticed in use.
I bought and set up a Moto G8 for my brother about 18 months to two years ago and its the first phone he really likes. It has a great battery life and for something like £130 new, its 95% as good at everything as one eight times the price.

I had very little luck with iPhone 4S or 5S, both of which died due to batteries cutting out prematurely. Had the 5S as an £80 replacement for the 4S from an Apple Store, instead of the same price for a replacement battery. My wife's 7Plus and my 8 standard are far better. The current available SE model is, I believe, the 8 model with a faster processor and some small spec changes.
I wouldn't mind a new 13Pro model but my 8 works perfectly and I have other priorities currently, like trying to convert to a near paperless office.
My wife's Fitbit is reaching the end of its life, so I'm pondering whether to get her an Apple Watch 7 for Christmas. It is apparently all-singing-and-dancing, yet simple to use and will connect to and through her phone.

Screen and back case crack if you look at them cross eyed , would last me about six weeks and battery last about 7 hours , motto G lasts nearly two days , and dropped it no end of times not a scratch ,

Depends which model. Not a g30
Probably a G10 which has a slower processor than G9Play and possibly only 32 or 42GB of storage. Also and inferior camera.
Best value mid-range phone is currently and probably the G9 Play 64GB at £130.75 + VAT. This has mid-range specs at a base model price. The price to performance ratio deteriorates greatly as you move up other's model ranges.
There are so many Moto G models and variants of those models currently available that it is very difficult to choose wisely. They are like JLR cars where their main competition seems to be their own models and cannibalisation is bound to be an issue. Too much choice tends to put people off.

A g9 play is £119inc vat delivered straight from Motorola. I went for a g30 because it is 128 GB with newest android version and my last phone ran out of memory and even with an SD card fitted, some apps wouldn't work properly.

I currently have a G9 + with a 64 GB micro SIM in. Granted was around the £200.00 mark Inc VAT when I bought it, but good value IMHO.

Dropped them out of my boiler suite pocket. No damage to see. But 24 hrs later screen goes black. Both did same.

You must have some massive number of apps installed to fill 64GB if most of your other files are transferred to a card. I compare a 64GB memory capacity to a 6400 ton grain store; more than enough for the average grower but more is needed for those with larger yields on more acres.

Had moto g's for years. Great for what they are.
G9 plus, cracking battery (2 days easily), good photos, a bit on the large size but so long as it fits in your pocket..., must use a protector cover or wallet type thingy as screen will scratch, but cannot fault it in the slightest 👍
