All NH balers do .My 940 keeps pumping out banana bales, does anyone have a solution? Thinking of changing it for a JD456a, are they any good

When you have a fully formed/knotted bale in the chamber stop and go round aft of the knotters. Grasp each twine and pull up to see if there is any significant difference in string length. If there is there could be unequal tension causes by adjustment or wear on the twine feed plate.Yeh, tried shifting angle of small plastic packers nearest knife but no different, it’s the side furtherest from knife that’s badly packed. 940 has 2 big packers and 1 small pair of plastic ones
Used to run NH 276 back in the 70s. Was a great machine behind a IH 574. Never had the banana bales as I knew how to adjust the cross feeder. If to much hay making bale curves to left looking back from seat, move the inner feeder fork towards the chamber and outer away from chamber. Try 2 cm increments at a timeMy 940 keeps pumping out banana bales, does anyone have a solution? Thinking of changing it for a JD456a, are they any good

Great baler and makes nice bales.
The later 459 came out in 1987 and a runs a few strokes more per minute and the pickup is 4" wider.
Bought it in 1997 from local JD dealer. That doesn’t owe you much
