The shuttle lever (forward/reverse) has always been stiff when changing direction but now got so it’s difficult to engage in either direction can’t see how I can lubricate it anywhere, clutch is fine when pulling away, is it clutch or gearbox problem, same tractor as Case cx90 I think

typical manufacturer model numbering system! you need to me more specific here, as there are different NH 5040 and there also a LM5040 telehandler too

Does it have a separate gearbox from transmission, looks like it has another drain plug but can’t see a filler

Have you tried disconnecting linkage on transmission end then see what lever is like to move may just be partly seized,if not, i think this has interlock is that jamming,but whatever check linkage fist..
