As title says I have the crankcase breather filter to change, anyone done it ? Any tips or advice would be good ! Not getting a fitter out to change a filter before anyone suggests it !

1200hrs, they start using a bit of oil and the adblue usage goes up when it's time to change, been told it's an afternoons work for a fitter tho
Unsure if mines been done! Should have been done twice now. Its been fully dealer serviced up till now. But warranty over so doing it ourselves now.

Will need to check invoices.

I did my 7050 a couple of months ago,1.5 to 2 hours and I had never done one before,if you take the air box off it gives you more room but it can be done without removing it but it's more of a fiddle

It's not quite as bad as that but it is a awkward job. NH say to take off the rocker cover and everything above it which is the ecu and the break servo I think. You can do it by just lifting up the rocker cover but it is very tight and you need to be careful not to break any of the small plastic tabs off.

Depends if T3, T4A or T4B. 3 and 4A you loads of room just take the air box out and lift the rocker cover off. 4B bit more work involved exhaust and the airbox out to lift off rocker cover.
Service schedule states every 1200hrs but usually only change when oil consumption increases

Best advice I was given was to take to bonnet off to give more room as well, the t4b has an extra support frame that needs to be removed before the rocker cover can be lifted, it maybe that the replacement filter will be the modified version depending on the age of your tractor

Easy job just gives yourself plenty of time , bit of a faf as above Airbox I took off and slid it up towards radiator (next time I’ll remove exhaust ) always locktight the retaining studs back in if they wobble lose could cause havoc.

Why don’t they make it easier to change, dealer would need to charge a fair bit for the job,and the filter itself ain’t cheap.Just done our T4b Maxxum one, simple to change but£60 for the filter .And they all use oil anyway the dealer fitter told me,blxxdy emissions technology.
