No covid money for suckler farmer s

Cattle are expensive now but that does not necessarily mean that sucker farmers have done well from cattle since, inputs are up, Fertiliser, diesel and meal, many will have or try to buy light stores now as well to turn out on grass.

This time last year markets were closed, the majority of suckler farmers sell at market - cash flow bottlenecks are only now starting to resolve themselves.

If you think suckler farming in LFA areas is particularly buoyant at the moment call with an invoice.

Most !!!!!! i rest my case
I can’t help what the NI government did. Nor do I decry the help some liquid producers got when the bottom really did fall out of their market over night. Were they supposed to turn it down ? By the way the issues you describe facing are nothing compared to what most businesses out there have had to deal with over the last yr.
Perhaps during a period when prices are high and your still struggling Your business model needs looking at.

Don’t know about NI but IIRC for dairy farmers to receive any support here their milk price had to have fallen by more than 25%.
A lot of us faced restrictions on the amount we could supply as well as price cuts which impacted on profits but not many faced cuts large enough to qualify them for government help.
It wasn’t a level playing field regarding government help for dairy although I suspect those of us who didn’t qualify were still better off than those who did.

Had a quick look, it seems there was some help for those who could show they had lost money due to Covid.
Could you have shown you lost money because of it?
