I've been in the waggon today .While in some slow moving traffic there was an Audi A3 with a custom exhaust on it at the side of me The noise from it was awfull He was being followed by various VW and Subaru's all with modified exhausts Later on I was passed by a gang Harley Davidsons again i could hear them before seeing them How these lads could stand the din is beyond me
I thought there was limits on noise vehicles could emit or did i imagine it

Miserable bugger, we were all young once. Whether it was souped up Austin’s, mini’s, escorts, 306’s, golfs, we’ve all been there haven’t we? As for the harley’s, a good gang of them enjoying themselves on a sunny bank holiday weekend, doing no harm to anyone just having a bloody good time. Personally, they stand up the hairs on the back of my neck.

It would be somewhat hypocritical of me to moan about loud exhausts but let's be honest back in the day a 1.4 Nova Sri with bean can exhaust sounded a lot better than its modern counterpart the Mercedes A35 that seemingly requires 10 clutchless gear changes to move 30cm with the accompanying loud bangs and farting noises :ROFLMAO:

Your probably right But noise does bother me now. Bulk feed deliveries get on my nerves as well

The only 1 that annoys me is the loud bikes that zooms past me at 100 mph while am in the tractor scarein the crap outa me. Apart from that as already said most of us did it back in the day with cars
Something went by me yesterday on frosses rd with the same effect. Difference being I was significantly over 70mph when it happened! He was tramping!

At least it gets youngsters involved in a bit of spannering. Most now wouldn't know the tyre was flat if it didn't come up on the infotainment screen, and even then won't be able to change it.

Wouldn't bet on that, plenty just put it to the garage or their mechanical minded mate to fit exhausts, suspension etc.

As somebody who liked a tweaked car many years ago I despair of the young ones who don't understand what they have had done and how, spoke to my mates son about his souped up motor one day and he hadn't a clue what was modded on it. :banghead: :banghead:

That said there are a good lot round here running very noisy cars and bikes which aren't that fast!!:LOL:
