I have a graze way but never installed it as I thought it’d be way too much hassle. However you seem to be getting on just fine
We use our grazeway purely to let then out to a loafing paddock start at 9am until 3pm and then 6pm till midnight. Be 70 or more out at any one time in the day but have never had a cow go out at night in 5 yrs

Keeping a bull on rest at the moment, with a heifer for company. Would love someone to explain why I have yet to see them lying in the half acre paddock (a dry one) they have access to through that open door, in the last six weeks. They seem to lie in here on the slats, or on the bare concrete crush yard outside.

How big is your loafing paddock?
Started off as 3 acres but nearer 2.5 now as buildings and tracks have gone up.
We are looking at running 2 or 3 paddocks next year as 1 isn't big enough for 150 cows for a full season but they haven't been out for a fortnight due to the weather.
We have a Lely trip to the south in October to see robot grazing units, it's something we have looked at but have always been told over 2 robots it can get complicated, any thoughts ?

Mowing a bit today, don’t know if I’ve made the right choice. Had two small showers, suns out now again. Looks a little more promising for the rest of the day and tomorrow.
