I think the company changed the name to Sidlaw industries and was used in the 1970's The juteworks closed early 80'sThis stuff is very old, a mates father had bought it for some reason , don't think he even had a baler. Mate came across a pile of it in the back of an old shed, so going to get a few balls for the Allis Roto baler.

Baler twine would be a bit thick for a roto baler. You need binder twine. I have a rotating baler and thought to try poly round baler twine. I admit, that I used to start the major in exactly the same way, necessity and all that. Get one piston past compression and it would fire and run on the second. Doesn't seem like it but it's over 30 yrs since I drove one.Yep!!, But in the end could do it on my own.
