Opico dryer - galv getting worn causing grain to stick

I've an 12t Opico dryer that is starting to lose it's galv on the inside of bottom of the bin. Had some wet wheat last season, 24-26%, and it was sticking around the bottom and not circulating properly. Is there anything I could paint on that would help?

Is it definitely the galv wearing that causes the issue or is the auger worn and not moving enough?
New auger last year so shouldn't be but will have a word with the guy who fitted it, think he said height of tube can be adjusted it increase intake? Was fine on Barley and OSR.

Wheat at that 'high💦' moisture never flows well down the lower bin, mixing in some dry grain will help with the odd very wet load. There is not much to adjust with the auger or tube opening, but check the sweep arms are doing the agitation job. You could try spraying a slippery paint/polymer type coating, some lower perforations might block up but it will be OK, or a rotary wire brush to smooth the inside. S/steel is a better material for the lower bin as it retains a smoother surface, but not really an option here.

bottom tapered cone is too flat, grain does not flow off it that well on the 12 tonner. 9 ton model has steeper cone. even our drier wheat did not completely empty. Had to stop drier and manually encourage grain into bottom where auger took it away before changing varieties.

Yeah , wet stuff can stick around the cone. Actually happened us on a new dryer the first season.
I don't think the galvanising is making any difference.
If its very wet, a tonne of dry stuff in the bottom eases things on many fronts.

Might be wrong but I seem to remember our old Opico, must have been about 30 yrs old when I sold it 4 yrs ago, had perforated steel round the bottom cone as well. Don't recall having any issues with that one. Anyway sounds like mixing with some dry is the way forward. (y)

I bought a chaser wagon out of the states a long time ago. It was painted inside with a black high graphite based paint. It’s a bitch of a job climbing out of there as the paint is so slippery. Even now after thousands of tons it’s still good. Never rusts either.
