Osr storage problem

I have about 6t of osr in a trailer that was cut after the wheat so not been able to go through the drier. Been ok till now but starting to get some tiny pink mites in it. Will the k-obiol do any good. Any other ideas. We have some pedestals but the pile is not big enough for them to go in.

What moisture and temp is it?

Any of your neighbours got an Opico or similar drier, just putting it through one would tidy it up and get rid of the mites

It’s about 10% but its cool.

Tip it out onto floor and spread out, spray k obiol over the top of it that will kill any mites you have

I can transfer it from 1 trailer to another and add the k-obiol. Just didn’t know if it worked on mites.

Just augering from one trailer to another will kill the mites and help put some air through it. They have soft bodies, not like weevils & beetles.

Don't stand there breathing in any dust while it is flowing though.

Main job is to keep it cool.

Do you have any cooling spears? If they are too long put then in at an angle.

Or tape up any of the exposed holes. Done that loads when trying to cool trailers

Get a couple of handfuls in a bucket. Give it a light shake. If the mites have disintegrated, then they are not grain damaging
