Looks good, new or s/h ? by easter you will have your recipes perfected :D
Went new, rightly or wrongly. Fairly local company who offer a good service, not just on the machines but all the other bits too.
Sophie went to a demo day with them a month or so back, made a batch with supermarket milk and cream, then a batch with ours. The difference was noticeable!
We've our own customers who are keen for it but I'm really hoping it will allow us to sell to other outlets, something we can't do with raw milk.

looks a tidy piece of kit. What capacity is it?
Trouble is you will soon want a bigger one!
You and (more likely) your customers will definitely see the difference from other ice creams out there.
Good luck with it. If you are still short of some stuff let me know. Hate to admit it, but I have hoarded quite a bit of kit this summer 'just in case' and really it could be put to better use elsewhere!

I think the mixer/pastueriser can do up to 8 litres, and the freezer part does a 3 litre batch, making a bit over 4 litres of ice cream. Sophie's plan is to make a 6 litre mix and then let half down into the freezer at a time. They say it does 5 batches an hour so I'll be sure to be cracking the whip!
Should be up your way next summer (learning to make cheese) so might swing by.

Yes, we are in discussions about a funding for some sort of container type set up to use for milk processing, ice cream and cheese making, the vat will be central to that.
Then more cows, bigger parlour.......!
We started off in an old Dairy Crest artic trailer, stainless lined, easy to fix the drains under the floor. We used an IBC under the floor to collect the whey. Initially, 21 years ago, we did 180 litres a month, this week we are taking 8500 litres, selling about 33 tonnes a year. I will look for a photo later

Know someone who has a container, turns into an oven in a heat wave. So needs to be insulated, sited in a shaded spot & some thought given to chilling ( & heat for winter )
Here is our original cheeseroom, nicely insulated. The fridge unit just about worked, but you can see the box on the side with an air fan and filter, for filtered ventilation. Underneath is the IBC for whey, and the white drain pipe. The empty cattle yard behind is where our current cheesroom is, fitted in beneath the Atcost portal roof.

Lovely cows ,lovely little setup there Tim

We have a 'new ' parlour coming ,after 20 years of jar milking ,I decided to help my other half 'The Milker' ,by adding some ACR 's ,and in the course of buying some older second hand ones off a friend , ,we had reason to visit a not so far away neighbour , on the opening of a new business he started !!
He jokingly told us how we ought to look at his old parlour that was now redundant , and after a couple of visits actually got inside it to look ! A twenty something yr old Fullwood ten a side herringbone swingover ,with 5 yr old meters ,acr's Clusterflush - Direct to line .

I was only interested in the vac pump and inverter setup ,but 2 days later bid him on the lot and he accepted !!
My balerman ,also is a parlour fitter ,so hes helping us remove and install it !!

So luckily my friend was very understanding about his secondhand acr's to go on the old jarsetup we had ,that we were meant to buy off him !
So now its direct to line ,and in the meantime we are trying to get a variable speed vac pump setup put in - but inverters are sadly unavailable !!
If anyone has a single phase second hand one ????:p
