Oh yes its history, france gets more tourists because of its weather, whether summer or winter, the day we become a republic and vote for a president will be the end of a great country. Switzerland. But It times both the Roman and Greek empires were ruled by senates and forums.
Just looked the swiss up , everyday you learn something. If we had that here it would just end up with the same few self serving self important types going for it.
The world needs a few benign dictators that can get humanity back on track to reality and common sense

I’ve often thought the benign dictator things a good idea. I’d make good one however if you disagreed I’d have you killed.

That is always the problem, too long in power and surrounded by yes men they get out of control. History is littered with them, now of course I would never get like that

Think you may find the monarchy will still be there when we are all dead & buried, the British love their heritage & history when the chips are down.

I’d subscribe to that I’ve no problem with the Queen or even Charles but after that it’s time to stop. Wills and Kate no thanks.

It should be Harry that is next in line. Seriously. I can't stress this enough. Imagine the book deal Meghan would get. Think about her for a change, will you?
To be honest I thought at one time Harry would have made a better king than Will, just goes to show that getting with the wrong women can make you fall of the rails

Possible to go without, but it is probably better to have someone who can dismiss a PM if necessary. I guess the Supreme Court could do it, but best to keep from dealing in politics as far we can.

Cut out all the management layers, and let Carrie run the show. Wallpaper in the palace needs fixing in any case…
It's alright for you, joking from the sidelines, the ROI doesn't have to worry about these things because the EU is in charge over there.

As per above, could be worse, could be an unelected President von der Leyen. (y)

I think Ursula would quite fancy being a queen

But not as much as Guy Verhostadt
