Has anyone else heard that Oxfordshire county council have voted to ban meat and dairy off there menu at meetings ?
They claim that both meat and dairy are a significant contributor to green house gas emissions and rainforest distribution.
Can someone tell me where there’s a rainforest in this country?
This needs addressing as its total nonsense and manipulation of any truth .

it was suggested by one councillor,and dismisssed by others ,there was no vote ,just a statement from one vegan councillor

HOWEVER...

It's also worth reading the comments on the news page, the majority of which seem to be very much against the idea.

Humans as a species are omnivores, surely to deny the choice of food containing meat is unnatural and as such should be against our human rights

According to The Times today it does appear this has been passed. It only affects 6 meals a year which are provided to the councillors.
If I was one, I would make a point for sending out for bacon sarnies before the meal and refuse this awful fare
