Have you all signed the petition to get him sacked from the BBC yet, it's nearing 150K
https://www.change.org/p/bbc-bbc-to-sack-chris-packham?use_react=false
Signed. As an ex-sailor I grew to detest this man. Some years ago he shamelessly promoted a campaign to ban sailing boats from anchoring in Studland Bay, he claimed that eelgrass, the seahorses natural home was being destroyed by anchoring, despite evidence from Natural England that anchoring did not harm eelgrass beds. Not one single study supported his assertion, rather the contrary. When proven to be a prat he quietly dropped the campaign, never apologised or offered any explanation. Never retracted any (false) assertions made in the national press and on the BBC. Self promoting twit.

I have just Googled, “What are the characteristics of a person with Asperger Syndrome”, they could explain a lot about Packhams behaviour.
If that is the case surely he should admit that the disease may effect his actions, and apologise for upsetting some sectors of society.
I think we had all better dream on,as I am sure that would NOT be part of his agenda ,now he thinks he can do no wrong in the eyes of the general public and BBC.

I was once in business with someone the same - people like that just don’t listen to anything or anyone, they have a fixed view which they are convinced is correct no matter how many facts you place in front of them

Dangerous when they have the kind of platform Packham has

Dont think my response could have been classed as consultation but if it has had the desired effect then it was well worth it.

Have just been on to NFU head office concerning the tweet off Packham.
Was told they were unaware of it but are getting on to it straightaway.
When I asked how straightaway I was told "well it will go to the 'media team' and they will decide whether to challenge it or not"
We wait and see !

The NFU communications department should be taken to court under the Trade Descriptions Act.
