Funnily enough it is a Rolland but unfortunately it has no paint left so not sure if there paint is the best. customer was thinking along the lines of stone chip etc as on a car but I think it may trap moisture in once it get a crack, maybe that raptor stuff would do better?Same as what rolland use or kiln dried sand mixed with paint

You can’t weld alloy to steel.Weld aluminium chequerplate in , turned up on sides by at least 6”
Don’t need toYou can’t weld alloy to steel.
Fair enough but that’s not what you said.Don’t need to
Make a tray and pop rivet it to the sides
True . What I meant in my head but didn’t write it rightFair enough but that’s not what you said.
Not sure tbh but it certainly well out of warrantyHow old is it
Can you not weld it sealed with side upstands to make a tray ? After all most float floors rest on steel.I think an aluminium floor would be rolls Royce but on top of old steel floor would just corrode aluminium and steel with all the cow sh!t getting between the two layers ??
Yes that would be ok if original steel floor was removed otherwise it will just rot I think, not really suitable to cut this floor out 1 it’s not really too bad and 2 I think it’s fairly integral to the strength of the boxCan you not weld it sealed with side upstands to make a tray ? It won’t let sh!t out tho will it .Our Stewart demount is an Ali box on a steel floored trailer 2012 model and no rot
What did you end up doing with the floor??? will be time to get ours out soon and its still a skating rink!!Looking for recommendations of paint for steel chequer plate floor on a livestock trailer? Shotblast and good primer first but then what ?
