It's for hedgecutting I'm making the guards for,
Plan on doing the same as you and cutting it with the jigsaw and putting on edging trim.
What suction cups did you use? Have you any pictures?
Have'nt got any photos to hand. Used suction pads all the way around outside and a line across middle on door. Just drilled a small hole and pushed through. Similar to ones below. Not sure on exact size, could be 40mm?
They are ok but probably look at an alternative method of fastening.

Dont put to many cups along the bottom of the door, so you can get a magnetic fish tank cleaner up between the two sheets. Also lets the dirt fall out on its own ..........

Loads on E-Bay, I just fired that one up as an example, now sure how you'd ask that question in Chinese ............

Extra strong, maybe?

@Pheasant Surprise what are you thinking in terms of suction cups then?
I have my polycarbonate cut so ready to buy, thinking of buying the ones in your link then using bungee cord as a failsafe?
Pack of 10 of the ones I linked I reckon, spread around the edge, should be enough to hold it on. Failsafe will be a cable tie zipped up through some holes drilled at the top tied back to something on the cab frame. But won't know till I stick them on how well it will hold. Got to pick up new glass tomorrow so will get the polycarbonate cut out to suit and go from there.

Will do similar,
I think they are cheaper on eBay if you have an account

Not sure about that James, will it go cloudy with continuous use?
And very easy to scratch .........
I don't think it would have the stiffness required for a door or large window either, without bracing...

Someone asked me why they didn't make rear windows from laminated glass rather than this toughened stuff which is like a ticking bomb when the structure is sufficiently weakened or stressed.

No it certainly doesn't and I agree with you about the double glazing and the gap between the two.
Especially in the wet ..........

How long do you think they will last before they become too scratched to see through?nicer to look through than a mesh i bet
Never used a mesh but the tractorguard one does not agree with me. After a short while, (month) , it has become more difficult to see through clearly and seems to scratch too easily. Also the glint of the sun affects it worse than glass , making visibility difficult on bright days. And on wet days it is hopeless as they tell you not to put a wiper on it. So in short I generally leave it off and take my chances.
I do about 450 hrs trimming/year and have broke 2 doors in 10 years and no side windows yet.
My tractor is old though (27) and has flat glass windows and doors so cheaply replaced with laminated glass from the local windscreen centre.

I bought a set 4 years ago,the side window which I look through most needs replacing really as it needs cleaning every day now it has got so scratched, you need a really soft brush for cleaning too or you just make it worse.I think they are made from Lexan,i will just buy a sheet and use the original as a template to make a new one.Tractorguard are pretty expensive for what they are and the part of the sucker that goes through the sheet to secure it needs improving,a hit from a a small stick or stone will break it.
