Phoma control

Most of our rape looks like it should make it, I'd rather it was more advanced, but to be expected this year
Agronomist has recommended Proline, Boron & Hallmark
My concern is that a lot of the stubble will be getting sprayed & are we wasting money ?
The variety is Elgar sown at 2kg/ac early September
Last year's rape did 1.75 t/ac & 2018 did 1.6 so it's been worthwhile in the past

Phoma levels well above threshold here. If I can get spraying weather I'll do Proline + Astrokerb which will tide the crop over until I can get frosts for charlock control with Fox.

The trouble with insecticides at this time of year is you've got to be perfect with the timing to catch the larvae as they hatch and crawl towards the leaf petioles. Any later than that and you're just wasting chemical. the TuYV carrying myzus aphids are resistant to pyrethroids.
