Pins and bushings in a backhoe

Looking at a 1998 Massey 860 digger. A seriously clean well minded one has come up for sale locally. It has 10000 hrs on it with about 8000 of those hours done on the back actor. Maybe 1000 on the front.

There is a bit of slop on the back actor. Mainly on the two king post swivel rams that turn it left to right and also the top dipper pin. Is doing a share of pins and bushings in the back actor a major job? I would have to send it out to be done. What could you budget for parts and labour ball park? There's no excessive wear but it Would need addressing soon.

Also wondering if my local agri mechanic would even do this. Is there special tools needed to remove old bushes and to push in new pins?

Line boring is a option, but if the castings are ok you do get bush kit's for them, I plan on doing it when I do a full restroation to my 860 this winter it's not that big a job, you will need a big hammer and a burner to remove the old pins ect and a forklift to strip the boom down. When I am that far in I am going to do ram seal's and hoses then a full paint.

If you watch this man he has done some work to his machine
