Plant based isn’t automatically better

I certainly disagree with this line

The ASA said that it was generally accepted that by switching to a more plant-based diet, consumers could cut their overall environmental impact.

Generally accepted by whom? Just because a lot of people who understand Jack **** about the environment think plant based is better does not give that view any credence.

Plant based is a real misnomer it covers all kinds of processed foods and junk. It is not the same a a diet of plants which might actually be good for the planet.
I think what is good for the planet is regeneratively farmed ingredients, that are cooked at home, some may be locally produced, others could be better if they are produced in areas better suited.

Plant based one of this eras greatest cons yet the folk in the cities are brainwashed into buying it thinking they are somehow saving the planet not realising that this stuff is trucked and flown halfway around the globe.
Meanwhile Tarquin gets stuck into his vegan mocha chocca rainforest friendly latte whilst an orangutan is being driven from its home to produce more palm oil and other ingredients.

Go plant based grass fed welsh beef and lamb😍

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
