Having trouble with our overum cv 4f not going over. Gets halfway then gets stuck in the middle. Had it 2 years and its always been abit funny but now has become unusable. Anyone experienced this before? Cheers

What's the bearings like in the turn over ram and the main pivot , if there is some play it can cause problems like you have. Our 5f overum does similar after a long, give it a few pumps of grease on the turn over and usually works again. Failing that it could be the valve block, kv have issues with there's but our overum is a sealed block so not much to adjust there.
Have you played about with your spool flow settings for both extend and retract.

Which way does it turn? If it turns under and at any point it makes the slightest contact with the ground it will go back. The last one I had was a nightmare but Overum changed it to turn over which cured it. I think from memory it was a simple mod.
If soil/trash is sticking anywhere works against it too.
Dr Dunc’s advice is good I believe altering flow rates on the tractor may help reducing the flow will lower the back pressure in the coupler

We had that on a Lemken, looked at everything I could think of, was in a hurry so swapped to another plough.
Then noticed that the turn over axle was bent, this then threw the geometry of the turn over ram out, so it couldn't turn the plough over.

Bit of play on the turnover ram, main shaft is quite tight, mechanic suspects it may be too tight but not sure, we got it packed with grease yesterday and it went over 4 times fine then refused every time since. Its on a zetor mostly so spool flow is on or off🤣

It goes under, was wondering if we could make it go other way, although on our tractors its quite good that way as lift height is low

depends on what head stock you have fitted for changing headstock turn over, had same problem here so changed the valve over to after market one , you have to take off valve machine top of ram and weld on 2 hydraulic fittings , after market valve bolted onto a plate made up on head stock and new pipes made up , less than half the price of a new valve , main head stock parted company with the plough not long after ( so i think this may have been the problem although no movement showed when testing bearings before doing the valve , in fact no bearings just plastic bushes ) put a picture of head stock and plough adjustment behind the head stock if you can

On our KV I find sometimes that if you are doing too much as it reaches half way, I.e steering and using shuttle, the it doesn’t seem to have enough oil flow to get past half way. This said, it is a 160 headstock, with the small ram mounted low down and it’s more about getting stuck with the ram all the way out than going back.

Had a good look and looks like its one way only. Just tried it with a ram and valve off another plough and its still not working. Had headstock off yesterday and there is abit of wear in the shaft in a few places, plough has been in half before and we strengthened it with a solid lump of steel up the shaft, however it has started to crack the weld around the outside of the shaft behind the headstock, so must be a small amount of play somewhere.

you say wear in the shaft ? is there not any nylon bushes , looking at the second picture not very clear , but is there a ragged looking edge where a second mounting for the ram should be for turning the plough over (may be broken off but cant see it very clear ) the damaged turn over shaft will be your problem

There is some bushes but possibly not full lenght of the shaft. Would say no theres nowhere else for the ram to mount without some serious cutting and welding. Will try cleaning the shaft up, wonder if its had something in it thats damaged it.
