This is the thread that you post information about forthcoming Ploughing Matches for all to see.

Dates, Locations, Announcements, Contact Details, Email, Website etc etc, all welcome!

Also announcements such as cancellations, date or venue adjustments, basically anything that you think that competitors, potential competitors or visitors to your ploughing match need to know.

If we could keep this thread just for this please, so results, photos, post verdict comments ;) etc deserve their own thread.

I will be watching this thread, so will be alerted to any new posts, hopefully not missing out on any nearby ploughing matches, perhaps other plough fans want to do the same?

Please click events tab at the top. There are many features you can use including a map and sending invites to other TFFers or registering you will be attending. So much better than a long list on this thread

Escaped cow put down after walkers leave gate open

A cow that escaped from her field when rural walkers left a gate open had to be put down after slipping on concrete and injuring herself, local police in the English county of Cheshire have reported.

The incident happened in Shotwick, according to Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team, which has issued a warning on the matter.

Commenting yesterday, Tuesday, August 11, PCSO Makin, of the rural crime team, said: “Today I’ve been to visit a farm in the Shotwick area after the farmer reported a gate being left open multiple times on a footpath that runs through their farm.

This has resulted in cows getting on to the nearby road and slipping on the concrete; sadly...
