Situation Vacant Poultry Performance Specialist - Covering Mid Wales, North Shropshire and Cheshire

Description
To develop and maximise the financial contribution of poultry feeds and associated products throughout the trading area and your given territory.

Duties
  • To work to and promote the company values of THRIVE and conduct day to day activities taking the values into account
  • To retain, increase and maximise sales of poultry product through direct selling activities
  • To offer support to Wynnstay retail and field sales force on poultry products
  • To liaise with other product managers to promote link selling across the business.
  • To provide marketing information and programmes to the Marketing Group for promoting poultry products
  • To liaise with the Head of Poultry regarding the procurement of any poultry related product requirement beyond Wynnstay’s own production
  • To provide input where necessary into pricing policy for poultry feeds and associated products considering market situations and Wynnstay’s trading position
  • To assist in developing and promoting sustainable practices within the poultry business, customer group and salesforce
  • To seek opportunities for innovation and innovative products
  • To evaluate potential new business opportunities within the poultry sector
  • To communicate all necessary detail to support and administration staff.
  • To develop poultry product sales within the terms of the company marketing, pricing policy and poultry strategic plan
  • To manage the aged debts of any direct contacts or customer
  • To inform senior management of any concerns or irregularities which may jeopardise the operation of the business
  • To represent Wynnstay at industry events and functions
Other Responsibilities
  • To meet or exceed any specific performance objectives agreed under the Wynnstay Review process
  • Any other reasonable duties that you may be asked to perform
  • To adhere to all Wynnstay policies and procedures
  • To focus on personal and professional career development
  • To operate in a manner that takes into consideration sustainable practices and the environment
  • To maintain full FAR (feed advisory register) status
Person Specification
Key attributes and competencies:
  • A strong understanding of the Agricultural industry and its developments, specifically the poultry sector and its’ supply chain
  • An ability to lead by example with a strong focus on customer service
  • An approachable nature with the confidence to use your knowledge and skills to respectfully raise the Company profile
  • Ability to present confidently, demonstrating technical integrity, to a broad spectrum of delegates
  • Must be an excellent communicator, influencer and relationship
  • Tacit skills: a positive attitude, self-motivated, hardworking, an effective team player, an analytical thinker and a robust attitude toward sales achievement
  • Previous experience in selling/advisory role
  • Practical poultry experience on farm

Webinar: Expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive offer 2024 -26th Sept

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
