This is the guaranteed price set for FIT producers who export. What is this “ Gov’t export price “ mentioned earlier?
Are you thiking of the SmartExport Guarantee. This offers a long term fixed contract for smaller producers with a meter capable of reading export. Prices I have seen vary from 4-5.5 pence / unit. How far into the future are government fixed prices guaranteed for?
So these prices cover routine maintenance and still allow for a profit?
How have you got your FITs on monthly?!?I have been offered 5.5p on the government export price through Opus, but there are no embedded benefits on this, and quarterly payment, my existing PPA doesn't end until August so i will sit tight for a while. Quarterly payments is a real problem for me, last year I finally got my FIT on monthly which has helped my cashflow no end, why do they expect us to take our payment quarterly, when everything else in the business world is 30 days.
Considerably? I'll say. Any more info please?Last year we took the time to research alternative ways to generate income with our renewable and ended up investing in data servers. We got upto 40p per KW - that figure does vary but the lowest we have had is 15p - still considerably better than what was being offered to us by other companies. Another advantage is that the servers pay you daily as they pay you in tokens and you can then choose when to cash them into your bank account.
