Bitcoin mining isn't profitable at all, the data servers are blockchain data servers not bitcoin miners - the servers only run off 1KW constant draw so they don't use that much power.
Hmm so is this small scale then? I was getting quite excited for a moment there.
They use 1KW constant drawHow many kWh are they using?
The green energy market is completely stymied at the monent, but so is all energy, just renewed my gas at 1/3rd of old price. We cannot have it both ways.No one seems interested in buying elec, tried for the last 3 weeks to get a renewal quote from limejump, plenty of promises to call back but no one ever does, tried Opus, nfu energy but no one ever gets back in touch.
Yep. We were getting nowhere trying to get someone to give us a quote. We've ended up going back to Good Energy because they actually picked the bloody phone up and gone for FIT Export rate. To do that the provider needs you to be on FIT payments with them too otherwise you can't plump for it, something I didn't know beforehand. Luckily we were already getting our FITs through them, so straightforward in our case.No one seems interested in buying elec, tried for the last 3 weeks to get a renewal quote from limejump, plenty of promises to call back but no one ever does, tried Opus, nfu energy but no one ever gets back in touch.
Surely Import meters are not your issueYep. We were getting nowhere trying to get someone to give us a quote. I've also has two import meters to renew over the last couple of months, it's been a fekking unholy nightmare trying to get anyone to pick up the phone to quote. Why is anything to do with electric quotes such a fekking ballache?
Eh? We have an import meter on the turbine and the farm meter is for imported electricity. I don't get your question.Surely Import meters are not your issue
I am a bit muddled hereEh? We have an import meter on the turbine and the farm meter is for imported electricity. I don't get your question.
Apologies if my post was unclear, I'd assumed it was. We've recently had to renew our leccy contract for the farm, that's the first import meter, we use leccy direct from the grid for the farm. That was the first ballache.I am a bit muddled here
The meter on the Turbine is for FIT and export surely maybe two meters there.
Then the farm will have an import meter. I thought you meant replacement but obviously you mean import contract renewal and Export contract renewal
