It’s a mess alright. I was initially against an election but frankly spoken the only way to get a clear perspective is for an election (voting should be mandatory IMHO) so each party can and must provide a clear view on what their position is precisely. I bet this would be an interesting result! What’s the betting that the EU don’t budge an inch so effectively we are out on 31/10/19 but before this date an election is announced so the EU wait to see what an election result would produce. The UK was never going to get a perfect deal from the EU; they haven’t seen eye to eye with us over the development during the past 20 plus odd years so this whole debacle could potentially be a seismic moment in Europe’s history. What would those MP’s trying to stop Brexit and the EU do if an administration won a mandate to leave no ifs and buts? Would the EU say that all of us are misguided not just Parliament. Put the decision back to the people, but by election, not referendum!

Why have an election?
Just leave.
I am struggling to see why you even drag you feet until haliween.
Just go next week (y)
Sick to death of the attention seeking ...
And now bringing the queen into it, it's lower than I thought the country could sink :(

Ah, my keep it sideways friend; I am as fed up with this whole matter as anyone, but my vitriol is aimed squarely at Westminster and the whole ram jack of them couldn’t organise the proverbial pee in a brewery, so put the decision back to the people. That said I still think “Dave” should never have put up the referendum up in the first place. The country should demand his salary as PM back!

We differ there then. Mine is firmly aimed at the Farage fan club.

Corbyn's idea of a deal was the Customs Union = no point Leaving . Was said in the referendum we would leave the CU . May's deal = we could never leave . A trap . The only thing that resembles what they stated we were voting for is no deal
Leaving the CU doesnt amount to leaving with No Deal as you seem to believe

I make this comment as a original remained but accept the result. We live in a democracy and whatever the %’s were at the referendum the vote was quite simple in or out - don’t recall the out being subject to a deal although IIRC it was said a deal would be easy! Hah! As for Nige - definitely not my cup of tea at all. He’s a hypocrite as he has been an MEP for how long? Yet he berated them and is so keen for us to leave. Perhaps he should lose his MEP pension if we leave with no deal! or is he another one of the club “follow me men, I’m right behind you”!!

Definitely. When you do leave with no deal, I wonder what mischief he is going to try and make next. Support Le Penn hopefully, that should turn the French right off

I think the French can deal with Marie themselves. If what is happening here happened en France, I think the gilet jaune would really go to town

what do you think of SNP MP's taking their seats at Westminster and taking the money for doing so ?

Fair comment I guess. The thing is I actually bumped into Nige in a hotel bar in Norfolk a few years ago and he was having a pre meeting pint. Nothing wrong with that but he did have serious conversation with one of the locals and I just felt the arrogance coming through. Perhaps all politicians are the same though!
