Just had some 'Quality 'wheat seed delivered. The bags look about the size of barley seed bags and the 1000 grain weight is 40. I'm not sure what quality they are on about, but it isn't 'best' or 'top'.
I had 5 t delivered, I asked the driver if he would take a tonne back as it was not required in terms of seed number. But the I changed my mind as the vigour is probably crap and the current weather and forecast will mean later than planned drilling (if at all).

I would rather not I drilled the grand area of 50acres of wheat and harvested 5 of it. At least in 2019 we didn’t even waste the money trying

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
