Hi. Does anybody know if it is possible to reduce bale spinning speed on the film cradle. I am experiencing issue where incorrect overlap is visible with all film makes. I would like to turn the bale a bit slower so the film overlaps how it should.. Any ideas?

We got a fusion 3 and the wrapping table spins on ours at 35rpm. You can adjust the speed on the valve block on the right hand side of the baler. At the very top of the block on one of the slices is an allen headed screw, think i turned it out half a turn to speed the wrapper up. Can take a photo tomorrow if needed
Speeding up the wrapper also made the bale spin faster but after re reading your post you need to slow the rollers down and leave the wrapping speed alone?

That's right. Mine is spinning 28 rpm, used to be 29-30 and things were ok. Maybe hydromotors getting older and does not achieve the same speed, so I need to hurry them a bit. Please send me the pic anyways, I will give a try

Ours slowed right down to 26rpm was painfully slow in a heavy crop so i adjusted the screw a bit its now 35rpm. Any faster and it will definitely break the wrap. Thinking about it i adjust 2 screws the same amount, one could be for the rollers and the other for the wrapping ring.
Will take picture in the morning

I adjusted both these on ours. Its the middle bank.
I adjust top and bottom the same. If you follow the pipes they go into and block which i guess is the diverter for the ring oil flow and rollers oil flow.
Half a turn was plenty on ours

Worked a treat! At 31 rpm covers well. Only top screw for the ring

Got a few niggles with our fusion 3.
When baling hay its not netting all that tidy. Have tried 2 different types of net and no noticeable difference. It just wont go anywhere near to the outside of the bale.
Ive tried different pressure on the brake bar but cant get it any better.
Also we seem to be getting a long tail left on the plastic on the bale once its been cut. Its cutting it fine . Originally put it down to some crap plastic thats not sticky enough but have tried different wrap aswell and still the same. The dust coming off the baler while wrapping doesn't help but its getting annoying. Any ideas?

Set the bale to rotate on wrapper once wrapping cycles finished

I always get long wrap tails in dusty conditions, but fine in greener stuff. It's the last turn of the satellites that is slower than gives the dust chance to settle on the wrap and bale

Is exactly what i think is happening. At the beginning of the day its fine but as day goes on its definitely worse. In green stuff its fine.

These are the hay bales netted. Look absolutely sh!t. Seems to net the silage alot tidier than hay. Any tips for getting it to spread a bit more

I think you have to set the density back a bit, if you get a 3/4 bale at the end of the day, they always tend to look tidier

Do you set the lollipop to the hay setting on the tailgate?

How do you do that? In technician mode?
Its bad enough waiting on the wrapper as it is at times without adding an extra turn 😂
Ours seems to be very slow to spin on the final turn which probably does help in dusty conditions
Depends on age of your machine I suppose it's one of settings in computer. You must be on good ground with plenty of grass in row. Putting 6 layers on its not often I'm backed up ready to drop a bale before it's finished wrapping

The panels at the back don't help imo.
I've seen videos of one's working in nz that had them removed must help let the dust escape. Does the likes of the kuhn balepack etc suffer the same in dusty conditions?

We usually rake in front of our fusion and putting 6 layers on most of the time you can bale a bale a few seconds before it finishes wrapping so pretty much at maximumcapacity. Got the wrapper spinning at 35rpm which is about the limit before it breaks wrap.
