Ram breathing problem/swelling under the chin

Got a ram that I just thought was pneumonia just over a week ago treated and that that was the end of it but it's come back again but this time its got soft swelling under his jaw. His breathing is really harsh but otherwise fit and healthy and a job to catch.
Any ideas? Probably call the vat for a chat later just putting it out there to you while I have dinner.
Thanks

Research Texel throat, contact the seller and get it replaced with one that's not faulty.

(sorry, first read through I thought it was new to you, but perhaps it isn't. This early in the year I would be getting it away and replaced with another. If you were closer to needing it to work, and not intending to keep progeny, I would have suggested getting it doped up on steroids and ABs to take it through the breeding season and then keeping it without treatment until you could cull it).

We have had it a few seasons work now, id guess it's about 5yrs old. Annoyingly it's a good ram otherwise.
Was hellishly foggy here this morning and now hot. Think stress of bringing in not helping but too many public could have seen him.

On a note when I got back last night from silage I looked under his chin and on top of the soft more saggy lump on his chin there were 2 small almost fist size lumps that had appeared just going down his neck. I cut one open and it was full of blood that exploded out.

That sounds strange as if he has bled into his neck compressing the windpipe. Could have been trauma or just another to add to the list of unexplained sheep deaths.
Not anything you or some steroids would have fixed

Apparently it can be set off from rough dosing/bolusing, we had a bought in tup that got it, after it sired a load of lambs, just culled them all out. Bloody sheep 🤦‍♂️
