Recall on 20 year old vehicle

A few minutes ago I received a recall on a 20 year old vehicle I
Once owned it was put on sorn
6 years ago but I never notified DVLA it was scrapped

How does he recover the scrapped vehicle so he can take it for its recall?

I’ve never sorned anything but I thought it had to be renewed annually just like a licence.
Slipped up with this coronavirus job, mother’s car hasn’t moved since March, probably should have sorned it and got a bit of money back. Too late now, licence is up this month, presumably sorning is easy enough, is it fairly easy to re tax again later?

Don’t overestimate my abilities

Without looking I’m pretty sure it’s set out how to do it on the licence reminder.
What I was unsure of is how easy it is to put back on road, presumably fairly straightforward but you never know

single cab pickup and the recall is a problem with drivers airbag which makes you think why has it taken 20
years to find fault and how many fatalities it's caused and how many vehicles are still surviving that need fixing
Mazda need to know how many new
airbag assemblys to order
There is a list of main dealers throughout the country and I counted
138 the nearest is Furrows at Shrewsbury
I will return form with a cross next to

Nissan have been recalling the terrano ( last one made in 2006 ) for passenger airbag replacement....

my 2006 patrol been recalling that every six months for ages for air bag was told one makers bags fitted in lots of makes is over powerfull and could hurt if it goes off

Ford Rangers of the same vintage were recalled for faulty airbags which could cover the driver with shrapnel. Subarus were fitted with the same faulty make of airbags, recalled and fitted with further faulty airbags from Takata, which has since gone south. Many different makes of vehicles affected.

Had our 2004 Ford Ranger done 6 months ago - (Badge engineered, same vehicle I believe...)

Got a New Ranger as a courtesy vehicle for the day ... !!!

My mk2 Toyta Rav4 (2000-2006) was issued with a recall on the air bag, too... I sort of feel like you - my car is 15yr old, surely if it was an issue it'd have happened by now.

I had meant to get it into the Toyota garage but have never got round to it

The fault can occur after many years, first 12 years work fine, then find age causes an issue, so they recall.

my Mazda B2500 is a 52 reg I haven't heard anything yet

does it affect insurance if you dont bother to have it done i wonder,,, they do like to find a excuse not to pay up

Yes we had a recall, quite surprised there were other D22s still in one piece and not disintegrated to a pile of dust!!!
