Renault ceres 85 lift ram seal

I have a Renault ceres 85 and the rear lift arms are pulsing up and down under load for example when I have a sower or topper on
My dealer says the seals need to be replaced in the internal ram under the seat
Not many Renault mechanics around so
Can anyone assist with directions

Good to hear from someone with the same problem
I got oil change and filters in Ashfield and Wilson thinking that was my problem but store man there who is very helpful told me it was ram problem
So I bought the seals as well
I don't want to tackle it myself but Im waiting on a local mechanic to come back to me
Will keep you posted

I rang my mechanic there now and he has no news for me yet but he is trying to get in touch with a mechanic in Armagh who works on Renault
That's ironic I know but I'll let you know when he comes back to me as it might suit us both

The part numbers are Renault part numbers with RT in front mostly. Parts may also be available from a JD dealer. There may be a price difference, it may help sometimes..

Got the same issue here with a ceres 95x, arms keep dropping and correcting, this started after I treated her to all new oil and filters etc after I replaced the pump, was wondering the other day if perhaps the new oil made it worse, seeming to be lighter than the 10/30 universal oil I prob used before.

I took the rockshaft (hydraulic top) off a 95X many years ago. Is yours an X model??
On some, the seat and floor plates come out for access. You need to lift the rear of the cab on both cab versions. Remove pipes and linkages. I'm not sure, but you may have to remove the valve Assy too for access to some bolts.
Then, bolt a long pole to the rockshaft. Using a lifting device near the cab and a counterbalance (possibly you) at the back of the long pole, lift the rockshaft off and out from under the cab..
I may have over simplified things. Give it a good wash before you start, eh..

What oil have you got in it now??

Great help with all this advice
Especially the oil and filters as this is what I was about to do prior to hearing about the ram seal
I'm going to wait on my mechanic to come back with a yes or no before I tackle this myself as I'm a bit like my tractor
Not getting any younger
Thanks for your help

Not sure what oil in it
But new oil in drums is for class tractors from main dealer
As i say I'm not putting it in yet until I get ram seal replaced

Would a celtis be the same?

I want to thank you all for your help here
As outlined I have to jack up the cab
To get access to the ram
As this is too big of a job to start myself
I have located a mechanic not to far away who is willing to do it
If 95xpower wants to call me on this number 00353872220881 I can let him know how I get on
Thanks again to all
