Reverse drive gearbox

I’ve been offered a Man truck engine and I’m thinking of using it to drive our Mecmar drier
Problem is the engine drives in the opposite direction to a tractor pto
Any gearboxes that I’ve found are light weight that drive hydraulic pumps
This engine is 180 hp and drier takes 100hp so I need a heavy duty box
Can any one recommend a supplier of a gearbox to reverse the drive . Or maybe have one lying around

If you can find a 90 degree gearbox off any machine. Turning them up side down changes the direction of rotation.
Might want to rethink that...........................................................

Some 90 degree boxes reverse the direction of rotation others don't...............................................................................................

Most can be modified internally,. But a T gearbox would have one side turning clockwise and the other anticlockwise. I think🤔

Many years ago we fitted a V8 Perkins on a forager. To get to the correct rotation we fitted a Eaton wagon gearbox. The drive was taken off the lay shaft which was already splined to take a flange off a rear axle diff
It also had the advantage of the lay shaft being geared down in the box by 2/1 so we got 1000rpm turning the correct direction

I can get 540 rpm from gearbox tail shaft in second gear with engine doing 1500 rpm
It’s just turning the wrong way
This is a ZF box

Turn your engine around so the gearbox end is pointing away from the drier. Set engine above or beside the drier drawbar and use pulleys and a belt to get the drive to the drier. Good way to disconnect/connect drive by tentioning belt. You could remove gearbox completely and get a pulley driven of end of crank if you want to simplify things further and use pulley ratios to set speed. Maybe the gearbox gives you an option of using different gears for different processes of drying/loading/unloading

I connected a D.B. PTO gearbox to a Perkins 6.354 engine to drive a Master drier years ago. Then you get 540 & 1000 out in the direction we used 540 this was better for engine.

Davie brown PTO gearbox is a good way to do it as @fredf has said. Not sure if it would be man enough for 100hp though, it must be a big one?
